This read was beautiful. It said everything and gave a solution at the end with your book.
I am taking note. I need to be more mindful of my writing, give it a purpose and have a pitch to sell my books. I am new here. So I'm learning the system of substack, but behind the business of it all... Not just my love for writing. But to make this into a business. Reading this beautiful piece, just made me want to revamp my page and brainstorm ideas of how to professionally pull in readers but also be vulnerable and be myself at the same time. I would love some tips or idea's you can share with me, to help get me started. you are welcome to direct inbox me. Thank you!
I think the balance is not to write toward the pitch, but to let the piece become clear enough that the next step feels natural.
For me, the book works best when it feels like a companion to the reflection, not a product interrupting it.
I’m still learning too, but I’d say: stay close to the real emotional center of each piece, write for recognition first, and only then ask what quiet next step might serve the reader.
